Amazon just released the newest addition to the Alexa and Echo family: Amazon Echo Show! I unbox the new Show, demo the device, and compare it to the original Echo, the Echo Dot, and show off the new Amazon Dash Wand with Alexa, too!

I Tried Out the Instant Pot and It Was AWESOME

For quite some time I heard people talk about the wonders of the Instant Pot. I watched hours of footage of electric pressure cooker demonstrations on home shopping channels, and it all just seemed a little bit unbelievable. It makes no sense that something that normally takes 4-7 hours in a slow cooker can be done in a little over 30 minutes in the Instant Pot.

Let that sink in for a second.

I have a favorite shredded chicken tacos recipe that I used to make in my standard Crock Pot. I thought 4.5 hours was a reasonable amount of time for them too. But, again, 30 minutes is so much better. You can truly think "I want shredded chicken tacos" and within an hour, you can have them.

So check out my review of the Instant Pot in the video above, and you can purchase it here on Amazon!

WHAT TO PACK FOR DISNEY WORLD

When friends or family members are planning a Disney vacation, this topic is one of the most frequently brought up to me. This video will show you not only WHAT you need to pack for a trip to Walt Disney World or Disneyland but HOW you need to pack it. After years and years of trips to the Disney Parks, I've got a pretty good process down and know the essentials for what you need to have with you on your way to the parks as well as your time in them.

We'll unpack my carry on luggage, my carry on tote bag, my in-park messenger bag, as well as my cord purse, and my toiletry bag. BASICALLY, IT'S A LOT OF BAGS. But it's worth it!

Of course, you'll need to make it your own and bring the flair you'll want to have for your outfits while in the parks; just remember to not go overboard and over pack. Leave space in your bags for the souvenirs and clothing you'll inevitably buy while you're there by leaving a few non-essential things at home.

What are YOUR essential items for Disney?

Big thanks to AWAY for letting me try out the bigger carry on! Check 'em out, you'll love them!

Vlogging Camera: CANON EOS M6 REVIEW

I'm often asked what kind of equipment I use to shoot my YouTube vlogs, and to be honest, over the years it hasn't changed that much. I've been lucky to get by with small Canon point and shoots for a very long time. Until a year or two ago I used the Canon S95, and most recently I've used the Canon G7X Mark ii, a very popular small camera for YouTubers.

Recent trips with noisy environments (like cruise ships and windy West Texas fields) have made me realize I need an option with an external mic input, which led me to purchasing the new Canon EOS M6, one of their latest mirrorless cameras.

Watch the video review above to hear my initial thoughts after unboxing the new camera. You'll find the products referenced in the video available at the links below.

You'll also see at the very end of the video review, I showed a short clip that said "color corrected." I noticed when I edited the video that the coloring on the EOS M6, compared to the G7X Mark ii, was MUCH duller. The greens were very pale in comparison. It didn't take my adjusting in my editor to do a quick fix for the purposes of demonstration, but it's worth noting that the G7X automatically had better color. As I learn more about the EOS M6, I'm hopeful that there are built in settings to improve image quality during the filming process.

I'm also providing a few links below to watch full videos I've recently made using two different cameras I currently use. Shoot me a message on Facebook or Twitter if you have any questions about my video equipment or to make recommendations of your own!
